PABLO PICASSO (1881-1973). Legendary Spanish Artist, one of the most influential and dominating artists of the twentieth century, he changed his female companions as often as his painting styles. A master at spinning his own legend during his life, he wrote checks even for small amounts, claiming….people rather keep the cheque for my famous signature than to cash it. Together with George Braque, Picasso developed the style known as “cubism”, possibly modern art’s greatest achievement. By the 1950′s Picasso was exploring and becoming involved in printmaking.
