In 1950 Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman The congregation manages homes for people dying of HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis; soup kitchens; dispensaries and mobile clinics; children’s- and family-counseling programs; orphanages, and schools. Members, take vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience, and to give “wholehearted free service to the poorest of the poor”.
Her Signed Letter personalized to Ruth Ann, considered a 2nd Class Relic (as it was touched/signed by a Saint “Mother Teresa”) is typed on the front of a 3.5″ x 6.5″ stamped Missionaries of Charity Prayer Letter in blue sharpie. It is dated 11th October, 1996. On the card’s verso Mother Teresa is pictured holding a child with a verse from Isaiah. Included with the SIGNED LETTER is a Mass card with Saint Teresa’s photo & her quote, Something Beautiful for GOD on the verso and an Original Beatificazione Ticket number 207509.
