Elsa Maxwell (1881-1963).  Syndicated Gossip columnist, Party -giver and matchmaker.  She organized parties for High Society and Royalty ion the United States and Europe.  She was hostess of her own radio program. Elsa Maxwell’s Party Line and she appeared as herself  in the films

Hotel for Women (1939) for which she wrote the screenplay and a song, Stage Door Canteen (10943) and  Rhapsody in Blue (1945).  In short, the lady knew how to “throw” a party!  Color photo shows the cover of her book, How to Do It  or The Lively Art Of Entertaining (1934).

ELSA MAXWELL has signed an album page 6″ x 4 3/8″ in black ink in her UN DISPUTABLE handwriting!  Her signature, although-not rare is desirable and a bit costly!  This album page she signed AND her autograph are MINT!
