DWIGHT DAVID EISENHOWER (1890-1969). 34th President of the United States (1953-1961), was nicknamed “Ike”. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York in 1915 & was a career soldier. Born in Texas, he was brought up in Abilene, KS. He was commanding general of the victorious forces in Europe during World War II. He obtained a truce in Korea and worked incessantly during his two terms to ease the tensions of the Cold War. He pursued the moderate policies of “Modern Republicanism,” pointing out as he left office, “America is today the strongest, most influential, and most productive nation in the world.”

Typed Letter Signed, one page, as PRESIDENT, a thank you to Florida Congressman C.C. Spades for his participation in the Rebuplican Finance Committee’s commendation Resolution to Eisenhower. It is on the light green The White House letterhead, dated February 21,1955. In mint condition, signed in black ink; it is a fine example from President Eisenhower. $545.00
